THE DANGER OF A DEAD FAITH

1. Faith by itself without works is dead           James 2:17
2. Faith without works is dead           James 2:20
3. Body without the spirit is dead

So, faith without works is dead also            James 2:26

 

JESUS- A LIVING CORNERSTONE

b) Chosen by God and precious

These pride themselves as builders of God’s temple (Scribes/ priests etc)

c) Those who acknowledge Jesus as the Cornerstone

i) Those who believe          1 Peter 2:7

ii) Those who are enlightened

 

BELIEVERS AS LIVING STONES

1. A great truth          1 Peter 2:5

a) Being built up a spiritual house

b) A holy priesthood

To offer sacrifices acceptable to God

c) A great vision

i) To be alive to God

ii) To be part of God’s plan to have a living House of God

iii) To serve the living God as faithful priests

2. The Church of the Lord

a) A living church

b) Alive to God

i) Obedience

ii) Service

iii) Glorifying Him
